Well when you take into account the bank fees the cost of postage and other things it wasn't as cheap as I thought.
The cranks will also need a rechrome and a sticker set, but they're going to go on my Raleigh Aero pro Burner so won't be for sale for a while if at all. They will be show standard though so will be worth the expense.

I don't know how the frame numbers work, but I was surrprissed to see it etched with a '96 as I thought it was a '94. Although all the physical clues point to it being a '94 model so I'm not sure what the story behind that is.
No idea what the forks are. I assumed they were Hoffman but I'm no expert so they may not be and I wouldn't have a clue.
The whole thing was bought because of the cranks.

Nice Si - great find for the cranks alone! Sweeeet.
The forks are definately not Hoffman as Dan says.
The frame is an odd one...by the looks of the welding I would say that it is Ramp Room made, but there shouldn't be a serial number.
Can you have a feel of the downtube? Does it have a flat spot on both sides like the tubing has been pressed into an oval?

Simon just confirmed that there are the ridges on the downtube...so definately Ramp Room...
SE used pre-formed oval tubing, whereas to save money when Hoffman started manufacturing himself he bought round chrome-moly and then pressed it into an oval using two car jacks and two bits of wood...hence the flat spot on the tubing.
The serial number is still a mystery, but they experimented with so many things during the Ramp Room days that they might have decided that week that they would put serial numbers on. Who knows? I wouldn't have thought the '...96' means 1996, I imagine just a coincidence - but I'm baseing that on a sheer guess and have no facts to back it up...other than the wishbone and a production dateline for that particular type of Big Daddy.
Lovely frame that though Si. Put it with Dan's Ramp Room Taj, and the Ramp Room Condor I sold to YGT Mark and that would be one fine collection. A real piece of history.
