Orb's Tim March interview
« on: December 08, 2005, 12:40 AM »
That was a decent read. But it ended a bit abruptly. Left me wanting to know more, especially about Ruffell. There must be more on the tape Orb!! Interesting stuff all the same. I'd certainly like to read more from the top guys back in the day. Read somewhere a few weeks back that Glyn Lewis was in prison?? Blimey! Anyone know any more? Anyways, well done Orb. nice work fella.

More than likely since the GT came out before the badlander.

The rickman was before the badlander (but built in the same shed)

The MRD and Rickman frames are quite possibly the best made frame sets about.

no thats the biggest one i have
i used to use it as my signature pic on this american dj forum i used to go on

american kids seem to have a dislike for brits
i was often called "deuche bag" (whatever that is)
eurofag
inbred
and had many references to my teeth

not all americans are like that though.

and not one could explain the phrase "i could care less" to me

Straight talking guy... i like that.
Tim didnt mention his time with GT... i am sure he used to ride for them.
I heard a rumour a long time ago that he and someone else designed the curved downtube and GT stole it.  GT had huge resources to make frames quickly which is why they hit the shelves first... I am sure the design is English though. Rickman were/are craftsmen and handmade every frame with love. Like the man said...they are probably the best fabricated frames of their time.

Americans think all brits have rotten teeth like Fagin from Oliver.  ;D
