.... the name paul atkins aka jim the skin?

used to ride for peugeot bitd with mark noble and the like

only jim the skin i know is a skater from coventry who was always at birmingham wheels in the 80's,didn't know he rode bikes too.

Is this skater jim definetely from coventry and not from leicester?

Just that i know a guy called Jim from leicester who was always at wheels in the 80's

yeah same bloke!

rode for peugeot for a while. did a six month tour for them.

then turned his attention to skateboarding and thats where it still is. he's just done an advert for independent with his son 'joe t skin'

he now co-owns ride bike/skateboard shop in coventry with his brother

Hiya, yeah the Peugeot team was run by Mick Ives, a professional road racer from Coventry.
He was good friends with Paul and recruited him onto the team with loads of others (inc me) to do shows in holiday camps, summer 1985.
Paul now runs a bmx and skate shop in Coventry with his brother.
