I think its bull shite that she just 'found it' in her loft. If you ask me i have a very good idea that it is one of the f+f that they rewelded together about 4 years or so ago. They did only a few in chrome but the vast majority in white. The box looks identical to the NOS white one i had which was one of those rewelded f+f's. The NOS chrome one i have had a different box. More older looking style and obviously the box was battered not brand new like that one! My white newer rewelded frame didnt have a pad however!Who knows. I would like to think it is a NOS one from bitd. Would love to also know the serial number! That would tell. It does sound more attractive to a buyer when you see a story behind it like she has. I think it sells the item easier!

Thanks for your questions - I will change the info to include more details as you suggest. This is an original 80's frame. The serial number is 0003544 - it also says Skyway USA 7-83. I have the original certificate still attached. My husband ordered one over 25 yrs ago as a boy but 2 got delivered, hence one still being in the box. We found it in his parents loft. I can assure it is totally authentic. Good luck with your bidding. Rgds Justine

I think it sells the item easier! they only did the rewelds in white? i think They did a handful in chrome aparently. I spoke to a guy in the US about 6months ago and he had 2 of them and about 10 of the white ones. Them white ones are lush. At least they have been painted in the correct Skyway white that they used BITD rather than any old repowdered white colour that you see now. The decals were cheap and nasty though and were put on horrifically! The powder jobs were not brilliant either. I have never seen one of the chrome ones either to judge the chrome job on them.
I bought a Nos chrome Ta complete in its original box 5 years ago it had been out of the box but never built,it was mint, sold it when I was skint a year later ! To a geezer in Oz,then I got back into bmx then found Rad a couple of yers Later,I wish I still had it!
