Would you be happy with this ??
« on: November 07, 2007, 10:40 AM »
I bought a set of skyway tuff tuffs 2nd hand, and paid £120 posted for them.

They arrived this morning packed like this:-

Spindles sticking out both sides

After seeing that the spindle ends are already chewed

Lets open them

Well protected by a bin bag and some parcel tape  ::)

Oh, actually there is a piece of cardboard in between the 2 wheels, so i shouldn't complain.  :tickedoff:

Looks as though there could be some damage here

Oh, a lovely gouge  ::)

Total packaging

1 bin bag, i piece of cardboard between the wheels, i strip of cardboard  and some brown tape.

Do i have the right to be P**sed off??

I hope (and I'm sure you did) you contacted the seller to resolve your issues before putting this post up.
clearly some damage has occurred in transit as a result of poor packaging, but it'd be fair to talk to the seller
first and voice your grievances and see if he'll agree a refund.

if not then crucify him on here.  ;)

No I haven't contacted him yet, but as i haven't said who it is, i don't see any harm is done.

I just wanted some opinion to see whether i have a right to be unhappy about this.

I'm still boiling at the min, so please unserstand if i seem a little harsh with putting them up on here.

I'd sort this out privately, as I am sure it can be resolved amicably without a public slaying...

if not - get the 'stocks' and the 'rotten tomatoes' out  !  :LolLolLolLol:

I would be be pretty angry too.  ;)

I sell loads of stuff on ebay but always package it properly, a bin liner and tape is great for tyres but not for tuffs.

Anyway, if you don;t sort it out, then the stocks looks like a good idea.

To me the packaging is very important, i wouldnt be able to sleep on the night if id sent  something out like that. People pay good money on here and ebay for stuff,(whats 20 mins , some bubble wrap, tape and a box) i suppose some think that they have had the money, so why should i care they aint mine now, have these people now conscience? As long as there wrapped and protected sensibly, the goods i ll be fine. Then on the other side of the scale theres the extreme wrappers, had a set on rims come the other day, fooking 1/2 a day before i could get a look at em, no wonder the postage was so much fooking bloke wheeled em up the path on a trolley the box was that big

I have had tuffs arrive like that before damaged to fook,  >:(
If people sell stuff they should pack it so it arrives in the same condition it was sold in.

too right!!  i've sold stuff to members on here and for me, i see the item as my responsibility until the buyer has got it and informs me that it's all okay......till then it's down to me.

If the member (whoever he is) is any good then he should offer some money back for the way they've turned up!

as my welsh nan would say   SHOCKIN!

i would be totally p*ssed off
if these are the ones i think they are.
they were offered to me at £120 and advertised
as being "MINT"
i thought £120 was a lot even if they were mint
but in that condition id be steaming mad.
id be after a refund mate they are not how they were
described >:( >:(
