Anyone interested in a North West Winter OS Series?
« Reply #31 on: November 22, 2007, 10:05 AM »
Hi Guys I have been speaking to Jezza, and he is definately up for something being set up in the North West.

But he said we need to get at least 8 definate riders to make it worth while.

I would really like to take part in a Northern OS series (the burner is ready and waiting ;) ) so if anybody is definately interested can you add your name to the list below.

I hope you dont mind me posting this Jezza but it would be cool if we could get something ready for December regionals

Quote from: jezza
Ok guys, if enough of us do this, i think we may be able to tag along with the Winter Regionals up North.

The dates are as follows.

Quote
NORTH REGION WINTER SERIES DATES
Round 1 - 11th November @ Lytham
Round 2 - 9th December  @ Preston
Round 3 - 13th January @ Coppull
Round 4 - 10th February @ Bradford
Round 5 - 9th March @ Hartlepool

We will need a minimum of 8 riders for this, any less and we will be stuck with the 16+ nu skool riders.

Put ya name down if you are almost certain you can make these dates, i will then approach the relevant organisers to see if we can tag along.

To do this though i think we will need a minimum of a bronze licence, which comes free with club membership. But probably a silver licence which i think is somewhere in the region of £64 for the year, i know thats a lot but we could enter the nationals with this also

List of interested people:

1. Jezza
2. DanStwo
3.

Thanks for reading guys

Dan

Although I will be unable to attend any of these meets, I know of two lads who will go along.  one is BigG off here.  he doesnt use it that often though so I will make him aware, the other is a lad who rides at all the NW meets anyway on an old GT.  He will be at them all guaranteed.  now you have 4!!

i dont think we needed them when we had the do at Hartlepool did we??

If you do need a licence you can get away with a bronze, which should be free!!!

I think a few clubs offer a bronze licence free when you join with them... however if you are not part of a club you have to buy your own from the BCF

I think Jezza, says we need a minimum of around 8 people to make a series worth while...

As it stands at the moment I am looking to get up to Preston on the 9th December and really just see what happens. Would be great if we could get our own gate.

Dan,

I have spoken with Phil (from Stoke)  he will be racing there on the 9th and is up for the series.  Rides an old GT if you want to speak with him.  Jezza knows who he is.

Just bought a helmet so I am definately there...

Although I might not be able to get there early enough to register for the race... as I have something else on in the morning...

Would anyone mind registering me for the race and with Preston pirates?

Any help would be great

Cheers

I have been given a pass for preston, I didnt think i was going to make it because of the radbmx xmas bash the night before. So I will be racing, I might even race old school to help fill the gate. :P but  if anybody wants to race OS and hasnt got a bike they are more than welcome to borrow it. :daumenhoch:
