..and has probably been answered in a FAQ somewhere.. but, when was the first BMX racing in Europe and also the UK? I'm talking organised as opposed to ad hoc. Are there any good histories out there of racing this side of the Atlantic?

Thanks and apols if its old ground. Which it is, technically..

August 30th. Halfords Team BMX - Britain's first ever official BMX Event at REDDITCH. UK.BMX.A. The track was kind of a down-hill track.
