Just seen an ad in Oct 1981 BMX Plus! magazine which describes a Junior mini available with either American or Euro BB.

A mate of mine has got a GT Mini from the early 80s with a Euro BB - will try to get some more details and a pic

I am pretty sure Geoff Schofield raced an 82 GT mini in the back half of 1982 and first half of 1983, inc the Slagharen worlds in 83. I am worried I even remember that though, given I tend to forget to pay things like bills.

They certainly did make a mini back then.

Very nice bikes.

GT did make a Mini, but it was called the Junior.

They did 26, 24, Junior 24 (from 82 onwards), Pro, Expert and Junior.

Here is my 1981 Junior sitting infront of its grandpappy, the GT 26 (which is a 1981).

I'm going to start work on that one later in the year. Juniors from 81 through to 83 where only available to the public in chrome. Though AC's black 1982 (or 83?) Junior above looks killer :)
