TBH since MK i've ditched the n/s Brew n gone back to my much loved Titan, will it hold up at Burnham, hell yes (once the head tubes re welded  )

OSS is about Old Gits n Gals on bikes teaching these young peeps how the hell BMX got where it is, no fancy clips, no disco slippers, it's hardcore feet out elbow banging o/s racing.

I think the sport on lots of level needs to go back to infancy and remember how it all began to put the MX back into BMX.

There are valid arguements from lots of peeps, progression of the sport etc but loads of old guys n gals r crackin back in and this is a platform to Nu Skool, our kids do Nu skool, we wil probably progress to it as well but remember bitd how many riders there were and there's shed loads of O/S still to re surface

raced an old school bike the year that it was attempted to tag it on to the national series. got a new school bike and snapped me profile cranks on it.
if somats gonna happen it ll happen. best thing to do is race its all good.

this line sums it up. Whenever I line up at Daggers, all the kids want to race us, they take the piss but they love racing us, and its allways "come on then Ratty, I bet I beet you tonight!! keeps us on our toes, and the banter keeps it fun.

I can't wait to get my hands on jimwise68's Supergoose so I can get back on a decent 'real' 4130 cromo BMX and get ready for some OS racing.  I've already got a tricked-out ONE ally 20" but I race that in NS for different reasons.  I must have a split personality 'cos on one hand I want to race NS to stay competetive and get some serious racing, but on the other hand I also want to do OS racing, so I can enjoy all the things I loved so much about BMX in the '80s.  You never see anyone bust out a tabletop mid race these days, gone are the days of 'getting rad' at race meets, or sessioning the doubles/tabletop at the interval.  NS race meets are strictly business, things are a lot more 'serious' nowadays which, in some respects, might be good for progression but it isn't so good for FUN, and that's why I still BMX - for FUN.

I just hope I don't do to the Supergoose what I did to my beloved Hutch Pro Racer ( okay I was riding it at the skatepark  ) Front end snapped off

New skool built by nips for a $ who don't give a rats ass Ive seen 4 snaped 1 year old frames this series 2 Statts 1 gt and 1 se. says it all realy.

1 snapped GT and 1 snapped SE. That does say it all, but hardly examples of GOOD NS bikes.

my sons staats (he was less than half the weight limit for this frame)

dont know whos this is but it is another high end of the market frame.

guys,  this is a hard one for all of you,  i think stay with old skool and the bikes, the minute you stop racing

your old skool bike then you are no longer racing oldskool,  don't forget you are running an old skool series

and the competition is getting tougher but thats it, if you all go to new skool bikes then watch the injuries

happen even more   stay as it is, old skool where any one can get back on a bike and feel part of it and join in

the races,  we all have famillys now, jobs and bills so why risk all that for something thats not for you,

all the freestyle guys have moved over to new skool but the big differance is theres no comp or series running

in freestyle for these old boys and the differance between freestyle to racing is that in freestyle the bike goes up

then down to a hard impact,  with racing the bike travels forward with the odd jump but still going forward,

so just my few words but don't spoil what youv'e got,    i see nothing funny in lining up at the gate with new skool
