i've got a pair of araya 7x's but their laced to hubs already(not sure what the hubs are though)

and i have a pair of primo hula hoops too, but the hula's chrome is badly flaking and its got a couple of paches worn through on the sides,

is it worth having them rechromed or not ?

i get the odd set rechromed as alot of rims are hard to find .
some are easy to find just got to look in the right places
ukai speedlines are an early peregrine rim.

do you have an idea of the cost of rechroming a pair of rims would be ?

do the speedline's look the same as the hp rims ?

i get loads of stuff done at the same time but wuld guess at £15/20 per rim  only guessing
speedlines are usualy ano finish but are the first gen type peregrine and look the same
but i have seen a set that look more like araya 7x.

Dan

Unless that is come kind of hub guard ... youve got your king cone on upside down! The wide part meats the dropouts, the pointy side on the bearing.

The axle should be held tight between the bearings. The cones just sit there, and fall off when you tip the wheel. They just tighten up with the wheel nut. Its the best way as there is no chance of the cone coming loose underneath a tight wheelnut. It might be better if they were push fit over a threadless part of the axle .... but they aint!

yeah i had a look on alans they look the same as big city rims which are 4 quid cheaper, but are big city's better than 7x's

the chrome must be a poor job on hula's then as mine look awfull :LolLolLolLol:
