Anyone bought tuffs off Colouredtuffs?
« on: July 03, 2007, 04:26 PM »
Just wondering how much they normally charge for shipping?  as the black tuffs work out at only £42!

anyone else bought some and could tell me roughly what they charged?  and would be hit with any import duty??

He charged me $85 delivery on two sets costing $90 each. There was an extra charge of $100 but I cant remember what it was for. Maybe import duty upfront because I didn't get charged. Still £180 for two sets delivered.  :daumenhoch:

Every time i've bought from the USA, no matter who from, even using the shipping code that was posted here ages ago somewhere (I forget where), i've ended up paying a fortune in tax.  :'(

Saying that though, I still managed to get some Tuffs and brake pads from Ed on many occasions for less than it would cost to buy them here.

Oh, Ed, if you read this - WHERE'S OUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY T/A FRAMES AND FORKS?  >:D   I need another T/A, damnit!  ;D

Ginny has assured me every time too. It hasn't happened yet. Five sales, five lots of tax.

I seemed to get hit for anywhere between £17 and £32 depending on what I have bought.

Two sets of wheels cost me the £32, £24 tax and £8 from Parcefarce 'handling charge' b@stards.  :2gunsfiring_v1: :2gunsfiring_v1:

well if i get hit.... i get hit i guess  :(  but i'll let her know if i do as she insisted she knows how to get round it and that as far as she knew, no one had had to pay it.  bloody sales pitch!!  still they are only £60 odd quid! which i thought was well cheap!  :daumenhoch:  after chatting with her via email.....she's even chucking in a Shimano freewheel for $10!  :daumenhoch:

Ginny is a good lass. Waaaaay more prompt in delivering than Ed is too, from my experience. All my stuff from her has arrived within ten days at the latest.  :daumenhoch:

It depends on how busy Ed is, to be honest. Normally you're looking at two weeks minimum (from experience). A set of Tuffs took a month last time I bought from him.

But this is only my experience of course. Others may have had a better response.
