Forks looking sweet there, cheers for decal placement advice. Who does the 79 decals and 79 pads. P.M. if you can help? The only problem with that Stu build is the Graphites, may have to dye my Tuff II's and paint hubs. Or consider painting frame and forks in Redline yellow for something unique, this idea is copyrighted! :coolsmiley:

yes the colour was as close to the red bars getting around as possible, except with a bit more fleck through it. i don't mind due to it being a custom build as proline II was never offered to the public in colours anyway. this will stand up as my best detailed (and most expensive) build yet and i'm really looking forward to finishing it.
i approved the stickers today and should have them in my hands next week  :coolsmiley:  pm me anyone who's interested in proper '81/82 stickers.

Is there nothing new that I can come up with?  Old schools been done to death, and then some. How on earth did you get yellow pads or were they dyed? Had another thought fit the new Graphites with the stick on covers. Dread to  think how much old school graphites would cost.   I knew that yellow would look sweet, your photoshop skills are better than mine. Roll on page 30 :LolLolLolLol:

GT, Im loving that, my forks are done, but the frame is on hold for a bit until I find a good chromers who will strip and polish it for me.

The yellow pads were available on the earlier pro lines, I have a handlebar pad, but not a full set :-\

you can just see it on my race bike

Theres a very convincing Forklifter replica plate made by a guy off Vintage bmx on Ebay.com.   Is it possible to get U.S. postal orders in U.K. at a currency exchanger or similar. Theres a guy with vinyl pads but he only accepts the above no Paypal. My frame and forks finally arrived today, think the postie had been competing in the OS series. The paint finish on the frame is quite good, the forks are chrome and very presentable, dropouts are great.  My usb ports not recognising camera, bloody technology, so heres the pics from the seller.Yes I know it has 86 RL 20 decals on it but not sure why.

Nothing wrong with the decals ;), here's my pl20 with 800p decals.
Wanted to do something different to the norm, 800p should really have chrome forks/ rear stays.
Change of pedals and stem then it 's finished 8)

The decals are badly scratched on the forks, slight scratch on headtube. Its all down to your riding era I suppose, your heroes etc. You didn't win the pads then, would he not post to U.K.? BMX Products North West won't do Repop's if anyone can do good vinyl ones give me a P.M. Ta

That was so random I had to Wikipedia it, face looked familiar like, looks like one of the "League of Gentleman" (but isn't) I remember Jilted John like.

Back to Prolines and fittings what on earth do MKS BM1's look like, Stu's foots on one and the other is blocked by his leg. Would BM5's be similar, Skatepools got those?

BM-1 has the correct 2 struts between the cages. the BM-5 only has the one strut and is shorter. both are era correct for early prolines and way cheaper than KKT footjaws  ;)

What are my chances of finding STR bars over here. Theres some straights on the bay in U.S.  but I want V's really. Spoke to Steve via P.M. he's not got artwork for 79 pads and is busy at moment. Really I need bars before I can decide on pads. Theres a few straights and one V bar pad up at moment.

that vendor on ebay is making it difficult for us non americans to bid, not only on the pads but other useful stuff he has. basically it looks like he/she dosn't want to pay the paypal cut. that's his/her perogative but it sucks as i don't believe a true bmx collector would do that. greed in our hobby yet again.

making repos sometimes is the only way around it, or be very patient as others will come up from TRUE collectors who ARE interested in helping others in this hobby.
the two 1981 redline padsets that i have took about 14 months to find (and more money than i'm willing to admit to myself  :D )

then again i've got a couple of metres of white vinyl and a 1980 proline sticker set sitting in the cupboard keen to become something  ;D

Well some of the vendors who have the pads take paypal, but just don't deal international. Just been knocked back on some velcro ones (I know they're wrong era), knocked back on a vinyl bar pad. offered good postage rate on some STR bars, but will the customs stick it to me on them, and how much will it take to win them? Going to have a go at a straight bar pad, sellers got good rep on http://oldschoolbmx.com/community/index.php? I need to finish cars off and sell them to afford childrens cycle parts.  ;D tpsman7 and fasteddybmx seem to want to buy all Redline pads known to man.
