Skyway wheel info please?
« on: April 03, 2007, 01:23 PM »
Hello

I am building up an old school bmx.

I want to build with skyways.

I can get new ones with the plastic hubs, but I think mine were alloy hubs many years ago.

To be as close as possible should I buiold with alloy hubs?

Can you get NOS with alloy hubs?

How much more should you pay for a set of alloy hubbe wheels?

Thanks for any help

Happy riding

Marcus :P

You can only get hte plastic hub type NOS and will cost you about £90  Skyway have jsut restarted making them in limited quantites.

The metal hub ones are well sought after and are hard to find. They are also very likely in need of restoring ie white ones are yellowed

Hi Marcus, Welcome.

You can get anything Nos or Very good con, its just a matter of finding them.

I got these, which are older than Alloy hubbed for something like $29 + shipping, the front is Nos & the rear is VGC used.

Also depends what colour your after, the Burner boys go for all the Black, White & Yellow ones so puts the price up a bit.

Keep looking & Im sure you will find some  :daumenhoch:
