Skyway Tuffs
« on: March 19, 2007, 02:48 PM »
Hi Fella's

I know I've been asking lots of questions lately but I've another I'm afraid. :-\

Are the hubs (front & back) interchangeable on the later style TuffII's ? If so how do you get um out & where can you buy um?

Basically I have 2 front wheels. Could make a set if I could change one over to a rear ::)

if alloy, or steel hubs, then yes you can.

might be worth seeing if you can get swap for the entire wheel first though, as they are riveted in.....you can drill them out and refit the hubs with bolts( this is how they are converted to coaster) its an easy job, but they look better with the original rivets.

I believe they are different sizes.

You definetly cannot swap over a coaster hub as its a lot bigger

check out www.coloredtuffs.com for some pics

The diameter of the internal hub space (the metal part) seems to be the same front and back.

Anybody know how to get the hubs out?

Ps. I'm talking new type skyways tuffII's.

you cant.

if your talking about the "new" type plasic hubs......I emailed skyway, and they replied quite quickly saying that they cant be removed without destroying the wheel.

i asked them this because i was trying to butcher up a left hand drive skyway.
