Haro bars info
« on: October 08, 2005, 11:56 AM »
Hi All, just got my Haro bars back from the powder coaters. Has anyone any info as to the correct decal(s) for these bars and the correct placement of them? I have included the one that came on them, which could be the right one but just wanted to verify this. Thanks Lads!  ;)

The earliest bars that haro produced where Taiwan made(84/85) and came with a chromoly 4130 decal on which was placed on the front / rh side of the bar if i remember correct ,they had no stamp and i've only seen them in chrome .
They were similar to the ones you have , but to be honest looked slightly different at the curve from the stem , the only person i can think of who has these bars is MOOSE , he might be able to compare his .   pm him. After that there were kneesavers and they were out in 85.
As for the decal you have ,it is early 82/83 and doesn't fit with the bars , Those white decals were everywhere BITD and may have been applied later.
I seen those bars on a link from this site on ebay i think , can you still contact the seller and ask him about there history as i'm sure he mentioned it ?
If you want a chromoly 4130 decal , i can send one to you , just pm me your address, as i think that is the wrong one you have  ,and get in touch with philip (moose)on the bars ,as he has some on his sport.
Other than that i don't know of haro bars made in that shape with that Decal , sorry.

jay

I remember it, was it not a guy over the border?

I certainly thought that the gen one decal was a missfit.

Right, I bought these off a guy on egay called 'tackhead4130'. I put a post on here before I bid on them to make sure they were genuine. Orb replied saying they looked like Haros and stuntmaster said 'yeah they are haro ,had dealing with kenny a few years ago ,he liked his haro`s'. So I think they are the real thing but thanks Jay, I will get in touch with Phil. thanks lads.  ;)
