I was just wondering if any of the Raleigh boys could enlighten me on the history? i mean were Rampar and Raleigh just using the same frame design? did raleigh buy their name? what's the deal?

Raleigh wasn't just English. There's Raleigh's all over the world.
The Rampars probably started out in the U.S. where they probably employed someone to design the bikes.
Raleigh UK probably just made them with no idea of frame geometry...
