Mongoose Californian frame
« on: December 02, 2006, 08:34 PM »
I want to build a Mongoose Californian.
It seems that there are frames for sale on ebay which are advertised as Californian frames and some advertised as Supergoose and they look the same.
Please can someone advise me on what I should be looking for in a Californian frame.
Thanks
Karl

a californian is main tubes cromo a supergoose is all tubes cromo and different /better geometry the supergoose also has 3 holes in the brake bridge and a fatter back end ie the seat stays / chainstays you may also come across an expert which is a full cromo cali frame more or less  , there is a guy (the ruler ) on here selling a supergoose frame on here for £90 posted bite his arm off

Hi Karl,

Below is a pic of my 85 Cali which has the plate rivited to the head stock, i am sure this one is full chromo frame and fork, she feels quite light even with the Skyways!

the tuffs will fit fine mate!

finding some mongoose forks may be a bit more of a problem
not impossible to find though.
