  a what! looks good, but another new make. i wonder just how many bikes i have ignored over here due to lack of recognition. :-[  if that is your blink, you want to trade them gt forks ::) for some tastey other forks. I got loads of NOS tange forks, a nice new chrome set and 40 quid is a sweet deal for us both ;) or i have NOS dx hubs in box with a cog and sticker.

Townsend the only thing I would trade the red GT forks for is a good set of chrome GT forks of the 82-83 era. The reason I use GT forks on the Maximum is that they are the closest thing you can get to Maximum forks (only the drop out detailing is different). Early Maximums were made by a guy called Larry Hess, I think, in California but later on he subcontracted the manufacture to GT (my bike is one of these models) and they basically used GT forks with a hole cut in the dropouts.

Cheers

Andy
Why oh why do I still buy kids bikes!
