Haro experts please help

Is there a difference between 1985 Haro bars and 1987 bars I was thinking of putting some of the repop ones from Alan's on my 87 Master Looked at some pics they look very similar just need to know before I order some 87 decals

Cheers Scott

I think there are some differences but they are small and probably down to measurements/knurling patterns/stampings mate..
To be fair you'd be hard pressed to find a matching pair of OG ones from 85,86 or 87 ... Production and those differences mentioned above changed all the time at Anlun!

Long story short ... They'd look reet mate  :daumenhoch:

As Ant said I think there are slight differences in the sweep/ knurling /stamps but to all intents and purposes they are the same. You may have to get a chrome pair and paint the bottom half black for an 87.... :daumenhoch:

I thought 85 ones were a bit taller?

The very early ( 1st Gen ) were wider and taller and stamped Anlun ( these are the most rare - I've got them on my early 85 master ) but production was very erratic after that.

I had a late 85 and that had smaller diameter tubing with a larger diameter just on the stem clamp area and it was knurled. I think they only did them for 1 year only like that

The ones I had on my 85 master were (I think) from 87
Not Anlun made though, I forget the make but there's a thread possibly still on here somewhere
They were lower rise then the ones you're on about anyway
