Relocated my bikes to my study today...
« on: January 18, 2017, 10:32 AM »
I'd been keeping my bikes in my garage on a display stand but on one of my irregular cleaning sessions I noticed that my Hoffman Flash was starting to suffer a little weathering as was my Robinson RSR.  The wife was never too happy with them on the display stand as every time we opened the garage everyone could see my bikes, so just before Christmas I ordered some bikes stands from Wiggle ($20aud each, posted!) and moved four of my bikes into my study.  I was quite surprised the impact of having them in the garage, at our previous house we had two doors on the garage and the bikes were at the back, this house has only one door and the bikes are at the front so seemed to be more affected, especially the chrome.

Before:

After:

I think I'm going to have to do some work on the spokes on the wheels on my Hoffman Flash as they have started to rust a bit  :(.

Cheers Ant, I got it off a Scottish bloke in a place called Falcon, near Mandurah but can't remember how much it was, maybe $150aud.  We used to have them at Heffs Bike Shop where I worked bitd so it appealed to me but it does take up a lot of space.  Here's something similar...

Nice bikes, they will be nice and cosy in the study. I've  done the same , just  moved two of my Streetbeats into my spare room .
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. Miss you loads Dad

Looking good Marty.  Keeps them safer away from prying eyes . Having the same issue with some spokes as the bikes are in the shed .

Nice collection mate! Damp problems and a temptation to thieving bastards aside, I did like that garage stand/display, though they also look good in the warmth and safety of the study! :daumenhoch:

It's a Hoffman Flash  :daumenhoch:  The Vector is possibly my favourite at the moment, it just oozes sex appeal!
