GT pro series 24
« on: November 27, 2016, 01:24 PM »
My lass hurt her back when falling down the stairs, she really enjoys coming on rideouts but riding a small 20" Bmx really hurts her. She had a go of a few cruisers on the rides and really likes them, they have a lot more room which causes her less pain to ride. I picked this up yesterday for £80, I think I did ok for the money, looks around £400-500 when it was new. The frame is pretty good, it needs a chain, a seat and a good clean up and a lot of rusty bolts need replacing. It looks to be around 2007 ish, I'll check later for a serial number. I'm guessing this was sold new as a race bike so I've put it in this room.

I've got one those, exactly the same which I bought new. Got it from Halfords when they were selling them off for about £160 in probably 2007 ish.
Good score mate as they ride nice  :daumenhoch:

This bike is now a pile of bits, more pics next week when it's back from powder coat.

Good score Steve. My missus uses my 22" (ooow er missus!) Faction Zeitgeist as her daily hack in the park with the kids for the same reason, she liked her 20" TT Haro Sport but it wasn't quite comfortable enough :-\
Still limping......

This bike was roughly put together for the Hereford ride, but I've been getting it properly finished for MK. Thanks to Jaymz for the comfy GT seat which helps my lasses bad back. Thanks to Del for the GT decals and 2 custom transformers decals. I found an old style pad set and black and yellow foam grips which make it look a lot nicer. Mrspeanut is loving how this has turned out.

Looks sweet that Steve, they ride real nice as well.

I'd ditch the frame pad though  :daumenhoch:

I'm happy with how it turned out, but best off all its really comfy for my other half, so she can still come to rides. If she was stuck with a small 20" bike I think she would have given up on bmx.

Anything that attracts and keeps people interested in BMX is good in my books! Good job Steve! :daumenhoch:
