Hi bud..
if they are not pitted you could buff them with a polishing tool or mothers paste.
Spokes can be refurbished bit repetitive but worth the effort..
Deffo Del for decals make sure you get the correct type for rims..
What are you planning on fitting them on fistblump

Bang a pic up mate...you will need a photobucket or similar account.
As Ady said you may be able to polish them and the spokes. There are s few chromers about depending where you are based

A few years ago I scored my first set of hp48s with satin anodised rims and loose bearing suzue hubs. I converted them to sealed bearings (there's a few peregrine sealed hub kits still out there) by pulling out the original bearing faces from the hubs and widening the opening very carefully which let the sealed bearings in each side. Had the rims reanodized and respoked with stainless steel spokes, came out really good - until I realised that I'd forgotten the decals on the rims and had to slice them at every spoke!!

Here they are sitting on one of my RL's.

and after reanodising....

When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

The team disc do pop up now and again.
Took me an age to get one for my `89 bash and it need refurbishing.
They do have re-pops which you could use for now for a third of the price of originals ..

Ok just a quick one. I got the wheels today and the hubs are haro not peregrine ? I'm guessing this is not the norm and I have peregrine rims laced onto aftermarket haro hubs. I'm a bit gutted to be honest now I have to find peregrine hubs which is going to be a ball ache I'm sure

Do you have any pics?  The 88 Masters shipped with HP48s iirc but not sure of the hubs, they could have been Sovos or Haro branded Suzue (basically a Peregrine) hub.

There basically the male version of the mega hub, (cheapo) don't cut your dropouts as they are 14mm I'd still go for the peregrine hubs mate, everything turns up sooner or later :daumenhoch:

Hi fellas I have had the rims polished up now and have got the correct hubs 👍 However do I need to clear coat the rims as the guy who polished them said that if they are not clear coated then any water that gets on them will ruin the rims ?
