I have had this one for a little while now and making a bit of progress, albeit slow!
1982 Torker MX bought from the original owner. Survivor build. It came with some nice parts.
Still a few bits to finish off: front brake, pedals and a set of white Tuff IIs. I need to get the Skyways aquablasted. I read about Metal Magic in Barnsley in a few old threads. Anyone had any recent experience with them? I would appreciate any recommendations.

That stem is about 3 yrs too late for the bike , same for the bars.....if you are bothered about era correctness....if not ignore me being a anorak and crack on !
I don't know about MM but there is a fella on ebay who advertises a blasting service for Skyways

Thanks Deeman. Appreciate the feedback. Not too worried about era correctness, but I appreciate those who are
Just building it as I got it! The fella went BMX shopping with his dad in 82 when he lived in the USA (in Santa Monica if my memory serves) and he had it ever since. I'm sure stuff got changed along the way as you pointed out. His two brothers came out with Redlines and they still have them apparently.
Thanks for heads up on the aqua blasting - I will take a look.
Cheers

Nice build you have there. Taking the time sometimes brings out the best in a F&F. I like the parts so far.
Wonder why one brother sold his old bike and the other two have kept theirs.
At least its gone to a good home.

Finally put this one back together and had my first ride on a 20" bike in over 25 years! Brought back lots of memories!
