Ed, do you mean you have black coloured brake black sleeves, and wondering if you should remove the pad part before stripping with Oven Pride?

What pads are they?

If you have an old basting brush, or toothbrush, just dab it on the part needing stripping buddy  :daumenhoch:

If the pads come out and go in easy, take them out. Oven pride shouldn't affect the rubber but it is old and might change the colour/appearance.

I haven't used oven pride to strip anno for awhile now. Started using caustic soda as advised by SBD. Fumes are potent though

Are the pads not removable Ed? Would mask them off and just paint the liquid on carefully with an artist's paintbrush
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.
