Schwinn predator aero
« on: May 17, 2015, 06:12 PM »

Built this for a show yesterday.  I was wondering if this frameset was something that was common in the UK.  It looks to be Tange made.

It looks cool. You don't often see an aero version  :daumenhoch:

If it's Tange Daz, it will be stamped on the BB.

I don't remember Schwinn ever being a major player in the UK for BMX, bud.

Was there anything that Tange made that looked similar to it for the UK market?

Yeah, the Raleigh Aero Pros were Tange-made though as Terry mentioned, I think Tange stamped most of their frames. Didn't Schwinn production move to Taiwan rather than Japan?

I built the Schwinn with the top of line parts  as it seemed like a rare one.    People would do a double take due to Predator decals and the parts choice.

The handlebars on that bike  are early Odyssey Profile (belonged to a Patterson rider)
