Primo Axle conversion?
« on: February 14, 2015, 09:01 PM »
Got a Primo Pro hub this week, Bought because they dont come up that often. Only issue is its a 14mm axle and I want a 10mm.
Before I do an Ed and get the grinder out is they a way to swap axles maybe with something like a Primo Stock hub?
I do have a Sun Jabba the Hub with the axle already flatted. Am looking at swapping that over but looks like I would have to swap the collars over aswell.
And the bearings are different sizes side to side on the Jabba as its a flip/flop.
Would it be possible to machine down the Primo axle and re-thread to 10mm?

:) Not a clue...but  think Primo might do a conversion for a Remix hub but the axle would prob be wrong as it is a cassette hub.I have a 36h/10mm Primo hub spare if it`s any use to you?

Well the axle swap with the Jabba hub wont work, Just took the axle out of the Primo and it has 4 bearings
The axle doesnt seem to have a large hole drilled through it so might go down the machine and re-tap route.
Although i would like to use the original hardware. I do have a small flange Primo hub with 10mm axle will tap that out later and have a look.
