a few weeks ago i asked on one of the FB bmx pages if anyone would like to trade one of my Race Inc RM2s for a Goose frame and i got a couple of replys. one was from someone offering me a pro class/californian style frame but i wanted an earlier gusset goose so passed on it and the other was from some one with a couple of gusset geese to chose from.
one was a "T" stamped frame in lovely condition and the other was a MK2 (stepped drops)
we chatted a bit and i asked about the MK2 as it suited what i was looking for. the person came back to me and said if i wanted it i could just have it, no payment, no swap needed, i could just have it for the cost of the postage.
To say i was shocked is an understatement, it was not someone i know (unless they are on here and i only know their rad name)
I thought thr person was winding me up tbh but then he aked for my addy and said he would post it out when he found the forks, i didnt hear anything for a few day but then he says to me he'd found the forks and it was in the post, i still didnt know if to believe him or not but then yesterday a frame sized box turned up and inside was the promised goose !!!
now its not mint but he never said it was, in fact its better than he described it and i'm chuffed to bits with it.
i told him i owe him big style and still dont know how i will lol
as the title says though not everyone is in this to make money
i dont know if he is a member on here and i dont want to name him and maybe embarrace him but if you are on here many thanks mate
