Yeah good luck finding that colour Craig!

I tried for ages, including asking the OM
Only way you'll get it is to find something in original paint that hasn't faded in the sun and see if SBD can match it

In the end I just went for something I was happy with (which is probably a bit darker)

I had this 83 PK refinished stateside in what was a very close match to it's original SE Candy Blue. I'm trying to pop to SBD in the next week or two to drop some parts off, if you fancy I can drop this off for Dan to cast his colour card over???

Its a hard one to match as sunlight plays a big part in the finish...when the frames indoors it seems to go a shade or two darker and loses its 'candy' effect, but outside in the sun its awesome.

When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

Hi skki3330,

I popped into SBD this afternoon and he's seen my PK and is happy on the shade of Candy blue that I've got.

SBD also showed me some photo's of a frame and fork he's just finished in Candy Blue and it looked identical to mine.....not sure what base you have, i.e. if you have chrome already, but SBD is using a near chrome base coat that I saw that looks fantastic.

Good luck, hope to see some photo's once its done.
