1981 fatgoose 170

FRAME: CC1 1981 mongoose motomag  (modified, TIG welded and nickel plated).
FORKS: 1" motomag (re engineered, TIG welded and nickel plated).
HUBS: Schwinn, Width 170mm. 
BARS: Gen 2 Hutch pro.
GRIPS: Oakley .5's. Oakley crud plugs
STEM: Helix unstamped square back Tuf neck repro.
HEADSET: Early Tange motocross beartrap copper cage 18 bearing.
RIMS: Schwinn 4 1/4".
SPOKES: Stainless steel DT Swiss champions.
BRAKE: Hope hydraulic m4 evo (160mm saw disc).
DISC ADAPTER PLATE: Engineered.
DISC HUB ADAPTER: Pedalchopper.
TIRES: INNOVA snake bellies 20 x 4 1/4"
SEAT CLAMP: Willinios bmx Cooks bros repro.
SEATPOST: Hsin Lung 4130  22.6mm.
SEAT: Kashimax mx suede.
BB: Team mongoose stamped (re engineered).
CRANK BEARINGS: Tange 12 bearing.
CRANKS: DURA-ACE 170mm.
CHAIN RING BOLTS: Tuf neck.
CHAIN: Izumi.
CHAIN RING: Shimano 39t.
FREEWHEEL: White industries 19t.
PEDALS: Suntour xc compes.
HOT PLATE: Custom made by GRAB ON KID.
DECALS: Bmx products, OG 1981 mongoose seat mast decal and OG 1978 dura ace equipped decal.
VALVE CAPS: Early angled dice.
TITANIUM: Crank, axle nuts and brake bolts.


OTHER MODS:  1. New stem quill and wedge made  0.5 mm larger diameter than standard, hardened and then black oxided.
                       2. Hutch pro bars powder coated by Chip at C4 labs and then extended to 30" with Control Tech terminator plugs.
                       3. Loose bearings removed from hubs and replaced with quality caged bearings.
                       4. Bottom frame gusset is to 1976 motomag spec.
                       5. Rear disc and calliper are fully adjustable to the rear wheel position including offset.

You may think this as even more crazy   :uglystupid2: I was thinking today and I need to stop doing it :LolLolLolLol: (I love Z'ds) remove the wheels complete (keep them of course) and purchase 2 x schwinn 170 hubs and lace them to a couple of NOS z-rims so it looks like it's on nylon skinnies and the angle of the spokes from the hubs will really show off the spokes.    :coolsmiley:  I wonder  :chin:
