Using diacompe seat clamp as coaster anchor

Not attempted this yet, but looking at the seat clamp, the hole is a lot bigger than the frame of my TA.

has anyone already done this before ?

Do you wrap tape around the frame first ?

im sure billy and craig used cut up old inner tubes to take up the slack

the clamps on renthal crossbars are smaller
-ps they fit mini seat tubes
-mrd - micro stuff, that uses a uni without the shim

Yep . . . old inner tube should do the trick 

Renthal clamps are no good as they're not hinged

RL osborn used to use the seat clamp trick see US bmx action january 1984 page 28 bottom of the carrera || review has a close up pic n explains that he uses tape too...

I think I just used insulating tape on mine, lots of it, then the seat clamp over

BITD i used the tape you put onto tennis raquet handles (it was towelling)

I ended up using a modern alternative.

I put some tape onto the inside of the seat clamp, then shut it up.

I then placed it on to the bench and filled it up with ... No more nails

This then game me a white rubbery material which i the cut to hold the bar.

perfect !
