1. 1997 gary fisher pure bender (love the name) most parts usuable will require paint job
2. 2001 dyno compe (love a dyno) will need paint and lots of parts to rebuild

so opions please rebuild to top quality or do i strip and ship them out

Who are you asking is what you should ask yourself. Any bike is worth restoring if you feel the need to or have a connection with. If they are to be restored purely for financial gain then thats a different kettle of fish and its quite easy to work out what they would fetch in top fettle
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Like what Clintocks said. If you enjoy doing stuff up, then go for it.

Personally they're both middle of the road bikes (which isn't to say they're bad), far more common at skate parks back then than your S&M etc. If they're in half decent survivor nick maybe don't splash out on getting em repainted etc - you'll be looking at 40 quid for frame, 15 for forks and then 25 quid on decals for em each, so 80 quid per frameset.

I prefer survivor bikes, others like em all shiney and that.

And welcome to the forum  :daumenhoch:

well after stripping down throwing away all  broken tat this is what im left with
Frame - no dents / welds good / paintwork showing lots of battle scars and decals scuffed/scratched
Fork - original to frame(stamped) all rust removed minor pitting / dulling inside tops no damage elsewhere
Bars - cleaned minor rust removed come up like new not original to frame (stamped GT)

so ive decided im going to bring this back to life unsure yet if a rider or bring back to shiny
what i do need is advice from you guys on correct ERA parts for this  need everything not in the pic (so alot) lol

Wow that's completely different to what I expected. Nice to see another less well known frame get some attention.

Don't think that needs a paint job it's pretty tidy as it is... just clean all the parts up and put it back together. Make a nice survivor/rider that will.  :daumenhoch:

I bought a frame just like that Gary Fisher one not long ago, picked it up for £21 off eBay, it's a lot different now though, twin top tube conversion and candy purple paint job!

Was hoping the decals would have 'bender' in bigger letters tbh but that's looking decent
Look forward to seeing it all built up
