Lavender Bits
« on: August 05, 2014, 10:03 PM »
A proper 1985 colour, and a colour I'm thinking of using potentially in a build.

How easy is it to get lavender bits??

I was gonna splash some lavander on my technicolor sport, I only managed to find a tioga seat post clamp.

But wasn't trying that hard to be fair, sure it's out there if you can be arsed.

I've got a tioga seat post clamp you can have to get the ball rolling!

Hi there Retrodan,

It takes a lot of patience and plenty of searching on Ebay US, i won't go shamelessly putting up another pic of my Reflex this time

I have a show ponied Original 80's Dominator seat, a Mushroom Bottom Bracket Boot(ponied) and a front Dia Compe (dated 86) brake cable(never used)......if ya interested?

I also have a set of lavender Z's that i am in the process of restoring(only taken me 2.5yr's so far) that i may consider moving on(with ACS Z hubs). If you don't mind me asking, what ya got planned build wise?

Cheers Our Kid, you've hit the nail on the head with the 'if I can be arsed' comment, which I can't.

I may just go white.

I'll have a mooch about at MK, see what's going.

tbh I didn't think it was mega hard to find lavender bits. May take a little more time than white but they are out there and the good thing is demand is fairly low so not much competition when you do find them. Selling them is harder! Choice is the other problem....you might have to settle for another part as the one you want didn't come in Lavender. I agree though proper 80's colour.....I loved it when the explosion of colour arrived on the freestyle scene, you were able to make your bike look so much more exciting than with the standard red, blue and black anno'd parts that were available previously!
