Cost of shipping wheels from the states....

I am looking to import a set of Motomags from the States and I am unsure what is the average cost for shipping wheels.
I have seen some crazy prices for shipping which are sometimes as much as what the wheels themselves will cost.
And what is the eBay global shipping programme?

About 2yr's ago i won a set of Lavender Z mags from the States, and if my memory serves me well i think the seller charged around 70-80 bucks to ship. Which i thought was quite reasonable considering the weight, f/forks from the US have cost me about 85 bucks in the past.

The Ebay global shipping programme is just another big rip off scam, as you supposedly pay upfront to the seller/Ebay for the import tax/duties rather than take ya chance by waiting till it arrives in the UK     Hope this is of some help to you fella
