i use a little bottle that sprays mist,  put a bit of soap in the water and spray the frame where your stickers goin. you need to put enough on that the sticker slides about then you can get it where you want then just keep smoothing it down and it will look pukka.

           good luck. ;)

One drop of fariy in that water is all that's needed.
It's that old pin on the water's surface thing.

I'd never considered it could be corrosive, good tip, I missed it above.

Maybe washing up liquid could dull paintwork underneath a sticker too over a long period of time?
I'll take a note of that, I used to do van signage and will mention it to the guys I worked with.
Got visions now of people removing stickers and the paint is a different shade underneath.
The concentrations I used were so low hopefully it wasn't a problem on paint  :-\

Washing up liquid contain's salt - that is the corrosive element.
One drop ain't gonna do shit.
Just don't wash your feckin' car with it, okay?

In the past, car restorers have used NEAT washing up liquid to ease on windsreen rubbers /grommets etc.
Few years down the road, it all all rots out. Think that's where the story's originate.

well one drop will do damage as it` still salt  content and you telling me that when you put your stickers on ,the water will not contain traces of salt ,may be it will know that you are putting your stickers on and not go near

Stunt, that soap you chucked in your bucket? It contained salt.
Your water softener(if you've got one), that's gonna salty up your water too.
So stop worrying about the salt, allright?
Lets just enjoy the decals. Or 'stickers' as we used to call 'em......feckin' yanks.
