Making my own sprocket design??
« on: July 07, 2014, 08:07 PM »
I had a GT sprocket that was pretty beat up.  After putting it through a citric bath it was pretty much stripped down to the metal and ugly so I've decided to try and spruce it up a bit.  I have a robo cutter at home which I've used in the past for making Pepakura models.  I've also got two peices of sticky back vinyl, one white and one black.  I've been messing about with a couple of designs and I've just finished two card cut proto types to see how it would look.  So i'm wondering what you guys think?  You need to imagine that black is going to be white and the red is going to be black.  Do you think.......

A)  The fist
B) The fingers
C) Nice idea but don't like either of those designs
D) Give it up it's going to be shit

Appreciate your input chaps.  Also if you've got any other design ideas then throw them in.  I've been playing about with a C90 cassette image too which is kind of cool but I'm running out of red card  :D

I would always go for a fist over a finger anytime  :LolLolLolLol:
To be honest it's not the type of thing that I would go for on any of the builds that I have, but I DO like the fist design. On the right bike, I'm sure it would look good. Reminds me of the Frankie goes to Hollywood sleeve to 'Rage Hard'. Great skills by the way!

Haha how Freudian  :D

Well it will be going back onto a 98 Performer just for function and probably so I can get rid of it.  They were just some images I found quickly.

A graphic interpretation of your dog.

Or perhaps my dog!
