Pick off as much as you can with your fingers, and or a blunt/butter knife. Get the sticky residue off using wd40 and a pan scourer.  :daumenhoch:

Kettle full of boiling water to loosen glue on stickers, peel off while still warm. WD40 to remove sticky residue

Combo of both the above - pour boiling water over offending decal and use finger nails to remove.

I use Iso Alcohol to get rid of sticky crud:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Servisol-IPA-170-Alcoholic-Electronic-Aerosol-Solvent-Cleaner-400ml-/321061063734?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item4ac0bb0c36

Apply Iso to a rag, not to the frame and wipe away. Don't use Iso on wet painted frames, ok on powder though.

I've always used nail varnish remover to removes stickers from things.  I've never tried it on a chrome frame but I don't see why it would be any different.

Hair dryer , warm them up and they peel right off  ;)

I remove any residue with a small amount of thinners on a chrome frame .

And before there's any wise cracks , yes the hair dryer is my old one .... it lives in the garage now as i sadly have no use for it indoors  :D
WANTED : Old school BMX patches/sew on badges ......  please  :)

Blow torch - no point chuffing about if they're going in the bin.
