Raleigh Mini Burner MkII (finished)
« on: January 13, 2014, 10:50 AM »
After having got myself a Andy Ruffell Team Special I thought it would be nice to build my Daughter one. Ok so it was a bit of an excuse as she won't be able to ride it for at least another year or so as shes not even 3 until march :) But also these little ones seem to be getting harder to find and getting more expensive.

So just before Christmas I picked this up for the small sum of £50

As you can see it had seen better days, but I really only wanted the MkII frame from it.

To start with the idea had been to do a pink and white team bike, but knowing my daughter she would rather have one that is identical to her dads so we decided to keep it blue and white and make it a ruffell one like mine.
Spent a bit of time stripping it down

Primed and painted it myself over the holidays

I then had an idea, it would be nice to get some custom sigs done for the front forks instead of having the ruffell ones. so I spoke to the guy that did my ones and he said yes he could do it.

A few days ago I got my custome decals

Also got a gold 39t sugino chainring on it and a refurbed aeroyal mini.

Its coming along and I'm pleased with it so far. Any comments on it so far welcome

That's a belter! Looking forward to seing that completed.
I'm planning on doing matching mark 2 burners for me and my son. Our lad's only 11 months this week so I've got a bit of time.
I'm hoping for something like this but with mark 2s:

Yeah it is Rick1970, I pm'd him and then found his add. Sadly they are black Tuff's and I need / want white.

Shame as they look really good in the add with new tyres to.

I quite like the lay back as its what I had as a kid, its a cromo one mind as the 1st one that was on it bent the moment I sat on it ............. not as light as when I was 10ish lol.

I know about the seat guts and must get around to swaping it about, in fact I'll do it tomorrow when Im there again.
