A bit of a mix
« on: September 07, 2005, 11:18 PM »
Put this together for Joe today as his Standard was a bit too big and heavy, there is a bit of mix of new and old school on it, and it rides very nice:

And here it is on Joes home made ramps in the garden:

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,

looks like a nice bike
old school frame - lightweight / small / good angles - you cant go wrong

love the home made ramps too. thats how ramps were when i was his age.
except there'd be 50 of us on burners and ironhorses queued up to see how far we could fly . . .

I like to have the stem slamed right down on old school rides Chris as imo this is a bit of a weak spot, the bike has got an oddy slick kable on it so it works better than a gyro too  ;)

I think that works pretty well. How about putting a comfy new school seat on to complete the transformation.

LOL at The Ruler "joe took off on the brick side and is mid 360 . . . ." Knowing Joe it's probably the truth.

The only reason that the seatis not new school yet is because I haven`t got the right type of seat post yet, I think I`d be looking for a dx wouldn`t I ?

Billy, You can get micro adjust 22.2mm seat post. I bought a chrome Prolite one off Rich Harvey for a fiver, think he has one left. OT's also has a slightly laid back one, think a GT or DYNO (Midschool) about a tenner.
