King Bike Co. caught the tail end of the mid school Era, as did G-Sport. Both made frames and forks. Where you will run into trouble are things like rims, tyres, grips, levers, etc. But you could get very close to an all british mid bike.

Pashley is the only one you could do, the Forte brothers rode for em late nineties early 00's, Kye had a signature frame with a U brake mounted on the top of the seatstays

It is indeed a ZIMA

I think King products were made in the USA...that's what it says on a chainring I've got anyway

We're still miles off a complete bike.....any guesses?

Gsport Wunderbars and Gsport fat shaft hubs is what I'm going with!

So early King stuff was made here was it?
Gsport stem is no use...only came as clamp-on as far as I know and I'm using ZIMA forks here....quill stem???

No-one's mentioned Curtis - they did three midschool F&F's. And then there's the UK companies that got to proto stages, made parts and the frames never came out like Ketch (at least I never saw one)

Cranks - Payload Wishbones were made in the UK

Rims - don't think any were ever manufactured here......

I saw some on eBay a year or so ago - from memory they went fairly cheap

But you're right, they don't turn up often

OK, I've had this sitting waiting for a new paint job because, well it's yellow and was very scratched but I decided to clean it up and after a whole day of wire wooling and T-cut, the thick powder has come up nicely

It still has bits of paint missing but I like survivors.

Chopped some new decals up and here it is...
