Polish my helmet.... (more help needed)
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:43 PM »
 :LolLolLolLol:

Dont normally do non bike parts but i got offered these and they make a nice set with the Miranda mags i got a while back.
Question is should i attempt to give them a bit of a clean up and repair the lining in one of them or leave well alone?

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Pin the lining back, and then leave well alone.

No glue, nowt that can go wrong.

stinky helmet  :D

at the most you could try simple clear window spray only on the white parts, small areas, spray and rub lightly with a cloth, q-tips on the edges of the stars etc. Wouldn't risk touchig those stars and the other red stuff  :daumenhoch:

Ok they came today and look great  :) The red fabric liner is in great condition but the soft foam underneath has perished and is beginning to granulate. The polystyrene liner is fine and i can remove the red fabric liner quite easily. Should i remove all the soft foam and replace it or just leave it alone?  :-\
