Get some polish on it and it will take out most of that left over stuff. Most guys on here use Peek polish but any metal polish will do. I just use the Auto Glym metal polish you get at Halfords.
I'm going to get some polish this week and get it done!

Not yet. Haven't even been to the shops... ha ha! It's been GT85'd. So it won't corrode.

Loads more bits ordered off eBay and BMX museum.

Still after:
48h Mohawks or 36h Super 7X
Dia Compe cantis and a MX99
175mm GT cranks (or not   >:D )

I had trouble sleeping last night, so I nipped into the garage and grabbed the Fueler stem for a bit of polishing.  It's far from show quality, but I'm satsfied with the outcome for this survivor/rider build.

Stem cleaned up nicely. Its a bit risky, but if you feeling brave you can get a lighter and "burn" the scuff marks on the back of the seat. It wont remove them, but it takes off the lighter fluffy scratches and just helps tidy it up a bit. Might be worth a try if they bother you.
