A beartrap 2 nut does. But you have to grind away the lip on the top.  :daumenhoch:

If you fitted a complete beartrap type the stem would sit a bit higher. Also the top gyro plate would be in the correct position so you have more adjustment. ;)

Stu is right J.

Grind the top lip off the locknut with an angle grinder and you are good to go ... ask Gav. - he's got one I did and it fits sweet  :daumenhoch:

I did it on Sunday. Just need to fit it
Also robbed some peg bolts for the front pegs. And yet more washers to space the forks away from the hubs

Do the peg boss holes not just need a drill bit running through them due to the extra thickness of the plating?
Do you grovel to your master? Do you beg like a dog?

i was wondering if that was the case, but a bit reluctant to drill nos forks to be honest, and I don't have a drill that big to hand

Ah Jay you cant drill the forks man!  :LolLolLolLol:

Cant you just use an piece of 8mm allthread with a nut on either end?  Are you actually planning to stand/grind on them or will they be decorative?  :daumenhoch:

Decorative mate, and I think fugazi is right, the plating is rather thick as the cut edges are rounded with so much plating

ah the good old days of mid school bikes where everything had to be modded to fit. tools for the job were a hacksaw, file, big hammer, drill bits and a few plasters.  ;D bikes looking good mate.

I don't know, it's only a bike. Should take about an hour and half to bang together and get everything setup right  :daumenhoch:

I would have asked Adam to come round and give me some help :coolsmiley:

Hurry up man! I want to see it finished  :4_17_5:
