Found these and some others bits and pieces in an old folder last night, which I figured may be of interest to some of you guys on here.

Enjoy.

(Anyone on here have an RF1?)

Love that HoleShot one with all the Ruffels on!!!! Cool!

Never seen one of those Holeshot frames since I've been back into BMX - rare as thai virgin.

That's a predecessor to the welded on gyro tabs you get on frames nowadays, only this one is a stop for a lower rotor cable, so u didn't have to use the headset cup with the tab, or the seriously bulky cable stop supplied with the rotor.

looks an odd shape!

them single cabled rotors were shizznit.

i guess thats all it could be though.

yep. from what i remember about it, it was like a solid bit of bar welded / brazed on and it had a hole in it to pass the cable through, just like the stop on frame downtube / toptubes now for your back brake cable.

yep, shizznit2 actually...

If I recall the RF1 was out way before the odyssey gyro's with the two cables.  I think the only ones out at the time were the ACS Rotor and the Skyway Spinmaster which both had only one cable.

Yep, exactly right. That's the reason for there only being one cable stop (probably).

Although the gyro wasn't far behind. it was first listed in the mags in approx mid 1986 (ish).

Using this single cable stop on ur rotor / spinmaster lower cable along with one of the stems out at the time along with a hole drilled to take the top cable from your lever (or a custom mod on ur own stem...) meant you could discard the brackets normally supplied with the rotors and you got a more solid feeling brake with less flex.
And less chance of wrecking your knackers on all this lot... (what were they thinking?)
