Pro freestyle tour
« on: December 20, 2012, 10:50 PM »
Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a gt and would like to ask you all some serial number advice. I have been into old school bmx for a couple of years now(second time around) but have mostly been into low end stuff just for fun so my knowledge of things like gt's are limited.
The first two letters of the number have been damaged a bit but as far as I can tell it isG5LO2540. The decals say pro freestyle tour but I know they are not original. Any help would be great.

Paul.

Made in Japan. Dec 85. That number should be on the bottom bracket.

Thats a (L) december 85, no the decals wont be original as GT didnt start using pro freestyle tour decals till late 86 to replace the world tours decals as SCHWIN were trying to sue them over the world tour name

Here it is, including pictures of the damaged serial number. I take it that it is just a pro performer or performer?

Thanks for the reply's so far, I have always thought the performers were way cool but know next to nothing about them.
