I've just booked my train ticket, I'm planning on getting the train home about half 7, The Wife will meet me at Shotton to collect my bike, and bring some going out stuff, then I'll get the train straight back to town to meet you lot.

I,m billinge born and bred but never considered myself a pie eater.
Living at the bottom of billinge ment St. Helens council emptied our bins, so that makes me a sthelens fan too.

Sam, I used to bmx in the small wood off Broad Lane, Moss bank, at the top of Moss Bank Road (The short but steep billinge end, not the longer st helens end). We had a bmx track in the woods, and used to race there. Loads of us used to hang out there. I was one of the younger ones, about 7 years old - I would have been there between 1984-86. Most of the other lads were in their early teens. Did you used to go there or do you know it?

I knew a lad who went to Chapel End school. Stuart Plant I think his name was. I'm 35 now. I think he was a year or two older. My uncle lived in Carr Mill Crescent for years - just round the corner from the school. St Helens to Billinge then Crank, Rainford & back to St Helens is one of my sunny day summer bike routes. I did 24 miles last year on my MT Racing Fox. I only intended to have a look at the car boot sale in Billinge, but got carried away! I was born in Billinge hospital too. Billinge is in St Helens, but the hospital was Orrel way wasn't it? So the hospital prob is within the wigan area

Sadly, our future BMX Convict down under can not join us due to other commitments he cannot avoid.

So, this means I have a bed spare in a twin room in Blossoms Hotel in the centre of Chester; bed and breakfast will cost £35 should anyone wish to share with me? The hotel allows bikes in the bedrooms, too.

So if anyone out there wants a cheapish night in a very nice hotel, please let me know via PM?
