Big Bars!
« on: October 22, 2012, 08:42 PM »
Well guys,

Keep seeing all the young guns riding with LARGE bars, heard the help for air etc etc etc, is there really any advantage?  Maybe a bit more knee space but anything else or is it just looking Cool :D

There's a lad at my local track with a KHE maceto which has a real low standover height and the seatpost tube is only 7", he has a set of Perfect 10's in it, and as diggler says his little hands are practically holding the cross bar of them!!

So a bike with a BB that is a few mm higher needs Bars that are a few inches higher to level it out??  :LolLolLolLol:

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

In all seriousness, my LTF was no more than 0.3" higher in the BB than the frame before it, but I could easily have run bars an inch or more higher on it.

After years of not running anything wider than 25" I've now worked My way up to 27" & can't see any point in going any wider!

That Enduro looks lovely & there's some real craftmanship gone into it, but there's a lump missing from the top cap!
