Rich, there is a shop in Hackney called "the other side of the pillow".  They specialise is NOS vintage Vans.  They are not cheap but they do find some really cool Vans.  They have a facebook page as well which is worth following.

I've wanted some of those check and stripes for 28 or so years, had the boots but never the lo tops. Tell me they're size 8 and you only want £20 for them....

They are cool Rich.  I had a pair of the red/blue stripe/checks....loved them

In hammersmith London, there is a vans hq and they own all the lock-ups at the bottom of the building. if you speak nicely to the man with the key he lets you arrive at night and opens the lockups  .
They have all the os stock all the way up to now. Box's n box's of em.
