Why are new school bikes not using any tensioners?Are all NS frames got inbuilt ones?

No, you just do the nuts up tight.  New school bikes have nice thick dropouts that allow some proper torque on the nuts

But also the fact most new school bikes tend to have the rear wheel slammed, in my case only 1/2 a link of slack, just enough to allow the chain to slip off if needed. No real need for tensioners.

I was thinking down the slammed line and there dont look a lot of room to move on some of them,cheers chaps

a few do have built in ones which usually work fine, you probably only need them if you run pegs though. my bike has taperlock dropouts which means the dropouts are ramped and you use ramped washers. i've still moved the wheel though doing icepicks.

If anyone is after awesome chain tensioners, if you can get hold of them get some Simple bike co wheels slammers, such a basic simple idea that works so well

they look worth having Paul... can't see where to buy them though ... discontinued in most places

I use these, though I fit them inside the drop outs. Bit of a wrestle but you do get the ability to fit pegs or standers.
