Had a search but couldn't find the answer...when doing the tin foil & coke thing,which side of the foil....shiny or dull?

Dull side, coke, lemon juice, anything like that will do it, the foil helps lift the rust.

i find vinegar and tin foil works best

I've tried the coke/tin foil approach on my seat post!, it wouldn't touch it!, is it cause it's a different quality chrome to the frame?.
