How to get rid of pitting on my forks

Got some bully forks I've had taken back to bare metal as they were a bit ropey and there is some small pitting on them do I just keep sanding till there gone or is this a lost cause as the need to go chrome ? What to u fink guys ?

If your having them chromed you need to remove all pitting. Or the chrome wil look shite.  :daumenhoch:

You can get a mig welder & weld in the pitts, it takes time, but is the best way  :daumenhoch: Then file them down, I should imagine forks won't be to hard to do.

You can sand but depends how deep they are  :)

i used wet and dry to clean me chrome bully forks up and wirewool....if you getting them rechromed it worth putting the effort in as it will pay off in the end,

The pitting isn't too deep but sand paper don't seem to b touching it but then I am being a lazy sOd today  :daumenhoch:
May have to bring a file home from work tomorrow and attack it with that first

dont use a file unless its very fine !! you ll damage the surface to much!

sandpaper works well, wet and dry is class stuff as its verry fine, will take a while but its a winner
